Carrabba’s Bread Oil
There are many different versions of this recipe, this is just the one I use.
3 Cloves minced garlic. (Do yourself a favor and just get a jar of minced garlic because peeling garlic is the absolute worst.)
½ TSP dried rosemary
1 tbsp of dried basil
1 tbsp of dried parsley
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp of dried oregano
1 tbsp crushed red pepper
1 ½ TSP onion powder
1 ½ TSP garlic powder
1 ½ TSP sea salt (Sometimes, I play it risky and use table salt, but totally your choice. Gotta work with what yah got sometimes.)
Olive oil (This stays separate from the herb mix until the time of eating!)
Mix the herbs all together in a bowl, container, or ziploc bag and viola! You now have a beautiful herb mix from a fine eatery. Just add some olive oil to a saucer, sprinkle in a dash of the herb mix, warm a good artisanal bread, and send your taste buds on a beautiful journey.
